The measure is aimed at participants who would like to complete the course on care assistance.

The focus is on imparting basic technical, social and communicative skills that are required for the work in the area of care. The participants are specifically prepared for typical situations in everyday care, such as For example, communication with people in need of care, especially with people suffering from dementia, relatives and specialist staff, the documentation, the cooperation in the team and the understanding of legal and organizational framework conditions.

In addition, the participants acquire knowledge of support in everyday design, the activation and employment of people in need of care, especially people suffering from dementia, as well as in the promotion of social contacts and resources. A special focus is on a respectful and appreciative approach and to strengthen the independence of the people being cared for.

In addition, social-pedagogical support offers as well as career-oriented and advisory elements are integrated into the measure. These serve to stabilize the learning process, individual support, develop realistic professional perspectives and strengthen personal initiative and employability.

The aim of the measure is to prepare the participants in the long term for a work in the care assistant and to improve their chances of a successful integration into the labor market.
